Learn about Preservation Worcester’s efforts to celebrate and preserve historic buildings and about the organization’s purchase of the Salisbury Mansion. Special emphasis will be devoted to Preservation Worcester’s holiday events past and present.

  • Trip to Holiday Pops Concert- Boston’s Symphony Hall

    Rejoice as the Boston Pops return for performances filled with holiday music favorites, the jubilant Pops sing-along, and a visit from Santa Claus himself! Started in 1973 by Boston Pops conductor Arthur Fiedler, these concerts take place in the magical atmosphere of world-famous Symphony Hall, beautifully decorated to evoke all the magic and charm of the season. Previous registration is required.

  • Beautiful Feet Ballet School

    Beautiful Feet Ballet School, a dance studio in Marlborough, MA, will be coming for a special Christmas presentation. Director Amber Pollard and her Ballet Company students (ages 10–18) will present Songs of Love. Through the dances and narration, the ballerinas will celebrate the fact that Love has come earth.

    Most Southgate dwellers are familiar with our friend Dan Gabel and his musical pals the Abletones! But just in case… Hailed by the Boston Globe as “the real deal, [a bandleader] that looks and sounds like the 1940s”, Dan Gabel is a trombonist, arranger, bandleader, historian, and educator. His popular Big Band, Dan Gabel and The Abletones, has played throughout the northeast and is considered one of the finest.

  • Olga Rogach Student Piano Recital

    Students of Olga Rogach present an end of season recital featuring students at varying levels of development. A leading regional piano teacher, Ms. Rogach maintains a private piano studio and is a private piano instructor at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Many of her students have won prizes and scholarships.

    Men’s Breakfast welcomes Shrewsbury Police Chief Kevin Anderson. He began his career at the Shrewsbury Police Department as a Patrolman in 1994 and was quickly promoted through the ranks. Chief Anderson brings with him a valuable historical perspective and a deep understanding of modern day policing. His extensive training in crisis intervention and under- standing the needs of special populations coupled with his vision for engaging the community through outreach serves the residents of Shrewsbury well. All are welcome to the presentation.
