Along the way we will visit all shapes and sizes of lights both offshore and on the mainland.

    Olga Vinokur is an acclaimed pianist and a dynamic performer on the classical and contemporary music scene who is gaining recognition for “the strength and consistency of her artistry” as noted by NYTimes. She has appeared in US and internationally as recitalist, with orchestra and chamber musician in major venues including Carnegie Hall, Shangai Oriental Art Center in Shangai, and Prague Castle in Prague, among many others. She was a featured artist in the London Chamber Music Society and International Piano Festivals in Paris and Canary Islands of Spain. Southgate debut!

  • Jazz Vocalist Jim Porcella

    Jim started playing drums at the age of fourteen. While attending The Berklee School of Music in Boston he began performing around the New England area. He began a jazz vocal career and has recorded seven critically acclaimed CDs, performed in jazz and cabaret settings in the Northeast, London, San Francisco, The Virgin Islands, and Vancouver. Jim has been the featured vocalist with the Artie Shaw Orchestra, and also is the leader of the swing band “Bombay Jim and the Swinging Sapphires”. For years he traveled the country with the show “The 3 Swingin’ Tenors” and he is the lead vocalist with “GUMBO”.

  • Assabet Valley Chambersingers

    The Assabet Valley Chambersingers is a small ensemble selected from the Assabet Valley Mastersingers. The Chamber-singers perform unaccompanied madrigals and motets from all periods as well as Broadway show tunes and vocal Jazz standards. Organized in 1989 by Director Robert Eaton as a civic outreach program in the greater Worcester area, the Chambersingers provide entertainment for a variety of audiences.

  • Guitarist Carlos Odria

    Peruvian-born guitarist Carlos Odria has been described as a “breathtakingly talented musician…with an immense technical skill” (Worcester Telegram). His original compositions and arrangements of jazz standards and Latin American tunes deliver an exciting blend of international styles such as bossanova, rumba flamenca, and Afro-Caribbean vibes with an improvisational approach inspired by the rich tradition of American jazz. He holds a Ph.D. in Ethnomusicology from Florida State University. In 2014, the debut album of Omnimusica, an ensemble in which Odria was the lead guitarist, was included on the official ballot for the 57th Grammy Awards, in the World Music category. Currently he is an Assistant Professor of Music and Interdisciplinary Arts at the Visual and Performing Arts Department at Worcester State University. Southgate debut!
