Art Gallery Exhibit Reception
Our next art gallery exhibit features the work of Carol Frieswick. Carol began as a watercolorist but her favorite medias are oil and pastel. She took classes at the Worcester Art Museum and is now enrolled at the New England School of Fine Art and the Tucson Art Academy an online mentoring program. Her exhibit for Southgate is entitled “Waterlilies and Family Treasures”. The reception will also feature the jazz duo David Jost and Don Ryan. Refreshments will be served.
Trip to Boston Duck Tours
The day’s fun begins as soon as you board your *DUCK*, a W.W.II style amphibious landing vehicle. First, you’ll be greeted by one of the legendary tour ‘ConDUCKtors’, who’ll be narrating your sightseeing tour of Boston. We travel to Boston with our neighbors at the Briarwood Community with lunch provided on board. Previous registration required.

“The Sights and Sounds of the Opening of the 20th Century”
It’s “FAIR” weather in Buffalo so it’s time to put on your dancing shoes and shuffle off to the Pan American Fair of 1901. Resident George Goetz has entertained Southgate with numerous presentations including the New York City World of Tomorrow Fair of 1939 and the 1893 Chicago World Fair. Journey back with George as your tour guide through this spectacular fair of 1901. The 7:15 evening performance in the lounge will allow you to experience the sights and music of the entertainment section of the fair at night. “World Fairs represent the optimism of yesterday’s tomorrows.”
