Broadway’s COME FROM AWAY is a Best Musical winner all across North America! This New York Times Critics’ Pick takes you into the heart of the re-markable true story of 7,000 stranded passengers and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them. Cultures clashed and nerves ran high, but uneasiness turned into trust, music soared into the night, and gratitude grew into enduring friendships. Don’t miss this breathtaking new musical helmed by Tony-winning Best Director, Christopher Ashley. On 9/11, the world stopped. On 9/12, their stories moved us all.
Irish Music Guy Kevin Farley
“Gifts We Can Barely Carry: JFK in Ireland” with Kevin Farley is a “concert documentary” about the role music and song played in JKF’s four-day visit in 1963, and his use of Irish songs and poetry to amplify his message. From songs about the 1798 Rebellion sung by student choruses to fun songs sung by the Bunratty Castle singers to jigs danced by step dancers, Kevin combines his musical talents with film clips of JFK quoting Irish song lyrics in speeches throughout his trip.
