Women's Circle Breakfast
Our speaker for the Women’s Circle Breakfast is Robert Stacy, the Site Manager for the Salisbury Mansion, which is part of the Worcester Historical Museum. He will give a presentation about the Salisbury Family and the part they played in the evolution of Worcester from a rural county seat into one of the most heavily industrialized cities in America. From the first Stephen Salisbury, who arrived in 1767, to the death of the third Stephen Salisbury in 1905, the Salisburys played a major part. Mr. Stacy will talk about the achievements of this family, the homes they lived in, and also tell us something about some of their peers and colleagues who played such an important part in Worcester’s history. In addition to giving tours of the Mansion he has, for four years, been leading the Revolutionary Worcester Walking Tours as well as gallery and research projects for the Museum. He has published chapters in history textbooks and articles for academic reference books. He holds a Masters Degree in history from the University of NH and a Masters Degree in Administration and Management from Harvard University.
