Southgate is seeking part-time and full time wait staff, to work 6am – 2:30pm breakfast and lunch. We offer a flexible work schedule, short and long shifts to help you balance your school, extracurricular activities, childcare and/or family care.

Southgate at Shrewsbury is a retirement community that offers apartment-style living. Our residents are not only our customers; they are like family. The role of the Cafe cook is to prepare consistent culinary enjoyment for our residents, guests, and employees. The Cafe cook is responsible for the daily preparation of food items in all areas of the kitchen.
NO late nights and Rotating Weekends
General Responsibilities:
- Sets up stations according to guidelines.
- Prepares all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
- Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the Executive Chef.
- Restocks all items as needed throughout the shift.
- Cleans and maintains station while practicing exceptional safety, sanitation and organizational skills
- Has understanding and knowledge of how to properly use and maintain all equipment in the kitchen
- Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers and all storage areas
- Performs additional responsibilities as requested by the Chef, or by Management at any time.
Experience/ Knowledge:
- Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills.

- Previous prep or line cook experience.

CNA and/or HHA
Southgate at Shrewsbury is looking to add to our team! We are looking for CNA’s and/or HHA for PT or Full-Time opening for 7a to 3p or 3p to 11p. We are located on a beautiful 30-acre campus in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts.
We are minutes from Route 9, and 190 as well as located on the bus route and close to 495.
As a CNA or HHA with Hampton Suites, you will report all changes in resident’s conditions to the Nurse Supervisor review assignments every day to determine if changes have been made and ensure that all daily hygiene care is provided in privacy to protect residents’ dignity. As a CNA or HHA with Hampton Suites, you must be patient, cheerful and enthusiastic.
Job Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
- Work well with seniors, showing understanding and patience.
- Answer resident calls as quickly as possible including emergency call lights and respond appropriately in a timely fashion
- Log all Southgate Residents emergency calls
- Prepare residents for meals and serve food trays. Note any changes in eating habits.
- Provide assistance with ADL’s and IADL’s to Residents in a professional and efficient manner.
- Inform supervisor of changes in a Resident’s condition and needs. Document these observations thoroughly in the Communication Logbook.
- Follow Hampton Suites Self-Administered Medication Management Policy.
- Perform dining room duties and assist resident to and from dining room if needed.
- Assist resident to and from activities if needed.
- Perform light housekeeping duties and maintain a neat and professional environment.
- Adhere to all OSHA regulations and safety procedures when bending, lifting, and using equipment. Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
- Assist relatives, visitors, and guests as needed.
Job Experience/Education/Licensure:
- Valid CNA license or current certification as an HHA
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Strong team player skills.
LPN Supervisor
Southgate at Shrewsbury is a continuing care retirement community looking for an LPN Supervisor to join our Assisted Living supervisory team. Hampton Suites offers 70 traditional assisted living apartments (no memory care) in a beautiful work environment. Located one mile from Routes 9, 20 and 140.
Southgate prides itself on being a well-staffed community with long-term, dedicated employees. If you are reliable, have good communication skills and a compassionate approach to care, we would like to meet you! Flexible hours with an opportunity for daytime and early evening shifts, during the week and/or on weekends.
Primary Responsibilities
- Monitor resident care to assure quality service is provided.
- Provide guidance and support to our nurse aides.
- Maintain Resident Service Plans, Progress Notes and documentation, as required by the facility and the EOEA.
- Support interdisciplinary approach by maintaining good communication and relationships with other departments.
- Communicate regularly with Resident family members.
- Provide Inservice training for staff.
Experience/Education
- Current Massachusetts LPN License required.
- 1+ years working in an Assisted Living Community or LTC facility.
- Supervisory experience is preferred.
- Basic computer experience required.
