Resident history buffs take note: Prof. Gary Hylander’s engaging and educational lecture series “Jefferson and Jackson: The Presidency Democratized” wraps up this week. The sixth and final event in the series takes place on Wednesday, May 24.
If you’ve heard Prof. Hylander speak during any of the first five parts of this series, then you will already know what a good storyteller he is, bringing together interesting facts and intriguing stories of the events that have shaped our nation’s history. If you haven’t yet made it to one of his lectures, then you won’t want to miss out on your chance to partake in the finale. It explores the time between the election of Thomas Jefferson in 1800 to the Age of Jackson in 1850.
Residents who would like more information about future lecture series and other education events can contact Deanna or Eileen in the Program Department.
